Appalachia Strong: Women of the Backcountry

In partnership with the Greenwood County Library's Greenwood Reads program, The Museum is thrilled to be hosting Appalachia Strong: Women of the Backcountry. This exhibit will touch on the role of women in Appalachia and how female strength has contributed to this culture by their role in the family, church, and community.
This exhibit will open on Friday, October 7 from 5:30-7:00 PM. It is FREE and open to the public, and it will feature light refreshments. This year's Greenwood Reads' selection is A Land More Kind than Home by Wiley Cash.
Dinner on the Diner Fundraiser

The Railroad Historical Center invites you to enjoy a delicious three course meal aboard our historic Erie-Lackawanna Dining Car in our first ever Dinner on the Diner fundraiser. This evening of food and entertainment will benefit the Railroad Historical Center’s renovation project.
Dinner on the Diner will be held on Saturday, September 24 and will feature two seatings, one at 5:30 PM and one at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $80 per person, with members getting $5 off. These tickets include an appetizer, wine, dinner, and dessert. The event includes music and a cash bar.
